Biology 2011-2012 

Learning by doing. This year I took field trips and learned while having fun.This is the learning path that belongs to the information center "Wald und Moor" (wood and moor) near Ribnitz-Damgarten. 

Fossils   

I found many different fossils at the shores of the Baltic sea. Below you will find something I wrote about sea urchins, with pictures of some of the urchins I found. You have to go to the beach to find them, especially after a storm. I found many fossils after the beach was being remodeled, with sand from the sea floor. 

In the city of Leiden (the Netherlands) you can visit a giant human body and walk through it. It is a fascinating experience, where you also learn a lot. Don't forget to give them a call in advance or make an appointment online, because you always get a guided tour and you want to make sure they are not overbooked when you arrive.
